Technical Document and Research Center

LEED™ Professional Accreditation
LEED™ Accredited Professionals are experienced building industry practitioners who have demonstrated their knowledge of integrated design and their capacity to facilitate the LEED™ certification process on the LEED™ Professional Accreditation exam. The exam tests an individual's understanding of green building practices and principles, and familiarity with LEED™ requirements, resources, and processes. The accreditation program recognizes expertise in green building and LEED™.

The Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate Program
The Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate Program is a nine-month, specialized training program, designed to enable graduates to advise employers or clients on strategies and tools for implementing sustainable building. This course is held at Seattle Central Community College and is geared towards architects and engineers, tenant and developer representatives, construction and capital project managers, other building industry professionals, and resource conservation specialists. This program enables graduates to advise employers or clients on strategies and tools for implementing sustainable building.

WSU Energy Program
The WSU Energy Program conducts training and research, develops tools, and transfers technology information via the Internet and a number of toll-free hotlines. Their resources include a combination of staff expertise in energy technologies, electronic infrastructure, information dissemination, and an Energy Library. WSU provides clearinghouse services (hotlines, Web sites, customer service, technical assistance, software, publications, on-line training, etc.) to energy professionals around the world and gives direct access to information and solutions on a broad range of commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and agricultural energy topics. The Program page of this Web site includes several areas of interest, including building standards (information on the codes in this state and indoor air quality), a clearinghouse, education and training, industrial services, and an online searchable library.
