Vochin Knapweed
Centaurea nigrescens

vochin knapweed plantThis Class A noxious weed has a very limited distribution in Washington state; the only known site is in Pend Oreille County.

This is one of several knapweed (Centaurea) species on our noxious weed list. The knapweeds are distinguished from each other by the bracts beneath the flower heads. The bracts of Vochin knapweed are long and slender with dark brown fringe tips.
