The King County Water and Land Resource (WLR) Division is seeking applications for the advisory board of Lake Management District No. 1 (Beaver Lake watershed) for three up-coming vacancies. The advisory board is comprised of six members: four from Zone 1 (adjacent to the lake) and two from Zone 2 (away from the lake). The vacant positions include two from Zone 1 and one from Zone 2.

The advisory board responsibilities include: (1) assisting the WLR Division each April in the development of the annual work program; (2) providing oversight of and consultation to the WLR Division in the implementation of District No. 1’s annual work program; and (3) writing and submitting an annual progress report to the Metropolitan King County Council, King County Executive, and Beaver Lake Community Club each January.

Interested applicants must own property in Zone 1 or Zone 2 of the District and be willing to serve for a two-year appointment. The Board meets monthly or as scheduled.
