News Release King County is hosting the final of three public workshops on Wednesday, September 27th at Fairwood Elementary School, 16600 148th Ave. SE, Renton, to present the preferred alternative for carrying wastewater from the Fairwood area. The workshop is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. During this final workshop, King County will provide detailed information about the preferred alternative to the Madsen Creek sewer pipeline, which is unstable and at risk of failure. The preferred alternative is the result of a cooperative effort between King County and the Fairwood community that included two previous workshops where community members helped develop and evaluate possible alternatives. All interested individuals, groups, and businesses are encouraged to attend this final workshop. For more information, or to be added to the project mailing list, please call Stan Hummel at (206) 684-1844 or Kathy Albert at (206) 269-5041 (TTY: 1-800-833-6388).
