King County lifeguards on duty for final summer weekend

Swimmers can enjoy the long weekend at King County parks with beaches knowing lifeguards are on duty. Lifeguards will staff four beaches for swimming, August 31 to September 2, noon to 7 p.m. It is the last weekend of the season lifeguards will be on duty.

The four beach parks include Five Mile Lake Park between Auburn and Federal Way, Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley, Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island and Pine Lake Park in Sammamish. Pine Lake is a City of Sammamish park staffed by county lifeguards paid for by Sammamish.
