News Release Learn how to create a low maintenance landscape that is healthier for people and critters. King County, in partnership with Seattle Public Utilities and the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County, will present free naturescaping workshops on November 6 and 14. Workshop participants will learn to reduce the amount of time and energy they dedicate to yard work by improving their soil, shrinking the lawn and much more. Native plant and fish-friendly tips will help participants make their yard a better place for birds and other wildlife. Participants can select between two workshops:

8400 55th Street, Seattle On November 16, participants have the opportunity to salvage native plants for their own naturescaping projects from a site scheduled for development. The plant salvage is open only to workshop participants. The salvage site is generously provided by Quadrant Homes. Space is limited so reserve your spot now.
