2003 Archived News News Release It's not too late to put in peas! If you are short on garden space but want fresh home-grown vegetables or cut flowers for your table this summer, King County Parks and Recreation has a solution. Community Garden plots are now available for rent at King County's Marymoor Park in Redmond and North Green River Park located between Kent and Auburn. Plots are a generous 10' x 40' and cost $50 for year-round use. Because of the high cost of water, the Marymoor gardeners pay an additional $18 (half of the estimated annual cost) and a $1 daily parking fee. Frequent Marymoor Park users may choose to purchase a $50 parking pass, which is good through August 31, 2003. For more information on the Community Gardens Program, contact Anne Lipe at 206-205-8751 or anne.lipe@kingcounty.gov.
