Media Advisory
Closure of Portions of Sammamish River Trail Will be Necessary for Two Weeks in June

As part of its continuing effort to upgrade the Sammamish River Trail, King County Parks will periodically close portions of the trail from June 16 - 30 of this year for widening and repaving.

Many of the planned improvements will be accomplished without the complete closure of the trail, however, some periodic closures will be necessary, weather permitting, on an approximately 300-foot section of trail just north of and including the Sammamish River Bridge (at 107th Ave NE) in Bothell.

Trail users will be notified of the times and dates of trail closures on signs along the trail.

New construction will widen this section of the trail to 12 paved feet, provide a retaining wall and landscaping, and resurface the Sammamish River Bridge Deck.

King County Parks System regrets any inconvenience caused by the construction work and thanks the public for its cooperation.
