News Release Teachers looking for ways to supplement their classroom lessons and activities with special presentations, grants funds, or project assistance can find a variety of programs and materials in the annual King County Programs for Educators directory now available. The directory provides descriptions and contact information for programs in art, environment, transportation, and health and safety. "Many of the quality services we provide King County residents also provide excellent opportunities for our children to learn," said King County Executive Rom Sims. "We want to give teachers a chance to bring these lessons onto their classrooms to enhance their students' learning experience." This is the seventh year that the Solid Waste Division has produced the directory, coordinating the efforts of a number of county agencies that provide services or programs to schools. The guide is updated annually to ensure that educators have current information on available county materials. The directory is currently available online. To obtain a hard copy, contact the Solid Waste Division at 206-296-6542, or place your request via e-mail. Related Information |
