2005 King County Fair: Good clean fun at a price you can afford

Looking for family friendly fun without a big price tag? This might
be music to your ears. All the performances at the King County Fair
are free with the price of admission. There will be live entertainment
on three different stages every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The fair
runs July 20-24 at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw.
"This is a great entertainment opportunity," said Sharon
Roberts, manager of the King County Fair. "We’re bringing
in top-notch groups and entertainers to offer an array of musical
styles for the whole family. Best of all, the entertainment is free
with the price of admission to the fair. You can stay as long as
you like and catch as many acts are you like. With the big ticket
prices other venues charge, this is really a great value!"
Here are some of the performers that will be featured at the fair:
Fiddler-singer Rani Arbo-Acoustic Guitar Magazine
dubbed her "the Greta Garbo of folk music." With her new
band “daisy mayhem,” Arbo plays the fair Wednesday,
July 20, 2005.
Tacoma country singer turned Nashville recording star Jonathan
Harris plays Friday, July 22, 2005. Harris
has opened for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Merle Haggard, and the
Charlie Daniels Band.
Local favorite the Beatniks will perform the music
of the 60's & 70's (and 80's, too); on Thursday, July
21, 2005.
Plus you’ll still see everything you love about the oldest
county fair west of the Mississippi -- carnival rides, farm animals,
logging shows, blue-ribbon competitions, pig races, kids tractor
pulls, a BMX stunt bike show and, of course, hot buttered scones
with jelly.

Adults - $7 Seniors - $5
Kids 6-12 - $5 Kids 5 & under --Free
