Picnic in the Park concerts kick off at King County's Marymoor Park

Looking for great music, a beautiful venue all at a great price? Look no further. The US Bank Concert Series kicks of this week in King County's Marymoor Park. It's your chance to see a diverse line-up of artists in one of the most beautiful parks in our region. Tickets are $20 for adults and kids under 12 get in free.

"These are really meant to be family friendly concerts in a spectacular setting under the stars," explains Norah Gaynor, Marymoor Park Manager." It's a wonderful relaxing location. There's a food court, a playground for kids outside the gate and lots of green grass."

The series kicks off this Thursday, June 16th with Kelly Joe Phelps-a blues singer/songwriter and guitarist known for his smoky, sweet voice. The concert will also feature special guest Doug MacLeod. That's Thursday, June 16th at 7 p.m. Tickets are free for this show at all US Bank locations.

As an added convenience, you can now also purchase tickets in advance right at Marymoor Park. Tickets will be sold at the scheduling office near the West entrance from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Please note: only credit card payments will be accepted at the park--, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Tickets for all shows are also available at Ticketmaster.com)

"We wanted to make getting tickets easier for our park patrons," says Gaynor. "It's also a great way to have fun and support our local parks."

King County manages 25,389 acres of parks, pools, open space, natural land and trails.
