Hidden Lake sewer construction project to affect traffic routes in Shoreline

Shoreline residents, commuters and park users should take note of an upcoming road closure related to construction on King County’s Hidden Lake Sewer Improvement Project.

Beginning April 9, construction crews will close 10th Avenue Northwest between Northwest 175th Street and Northwest Innis Arden Way for about four months. Access will be maintained for local residents as well as both emergency and non-emergency services.

Construction activities will include replacing a sewer pipe that runs beneath 10th Avenue Northwest. Because of heavy equipment and street surface impacts, the road closure is needed to protect public safety and prevent significant traffic delays.

Work is scheduled to be completed in August. Until then, motorists and cyclists who normally use 10th Avenue Northwest between Northwest 175th Street and Northwest Innis Arden Way will need to find an alternate route.
