King County seeks public input on proposal to build connector trail in Marymoor Park

2007 Archived News

King County wants to build a safe, permanent connection between two of the most-popular trails in its 175-mile regional trail systems, the Sammamish River Trail and East Lake Sammamish Trail - and the county wants to create the link at Marymoor Park.

Interested citizens have an opportunity to learn more about two preliminary design options for the connector link trail at a public meeting set for May 23 at Marymoor Park's historic Clise Mansion.

Currently, trail users who want to travel between the two trails have to navigate a mixture of surface streets, sidewalks and paths. After consulting with Marymoor Park user groups, and taking into consideration King County Parks' objectives of providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all trail users, the county has developed two options for public review at the May 23 meeting.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Great Room of the Clise Mansion. Marymoor Park is at 6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond.
