Short stretch of Preston-Snoqualmie Trail closed during construction activity at Preston ballfields

A short portion of King County's Preston-Snoqualmie Trail is closed between Southeast 84th Street and Southeast 87th Place in Preston during construction at the Preston ballfields site.

County planners are developing a safe, temporary trail detour around the construction site, which is where King County, the Preston Community Club, Eastside Football Club and Issaquah Little League are developing a new park.

Featuring two synthetic surface soccer fields, one natural grass soccer field, one youth baseball field, and other community amenities, the new facilities are expected to be ready for use later this year.

The Preston-Snoqualmie Trail is part of King County's 175-mile regional trail system. The 5 ½-mile trail runs from Preston to Snoqualmie Ridge, and this closure will affect only a short segment within the Preston community.
