Is a Rural Stewardship Plan right for me?

Introduction to Rural Stewardship Planning: the first of a series of Introduction to Rural Stewardship workshops that will be offered by King County in 2005.

As a rural landowner in King County, you are the best stewards of your land and its natural resources. With this in mind, King County has created a program to offer technical assistance to landowners interested in developing environmental protections tailored to their property and goals.

Learn what Rural Stewardship Planning can do for you. We'll discuss stewardship, the planning process, and review some case studies. Participants will have a chance to talk about their property and goals and explore whether a plan would work for them.

Who Should Attend:

Property owners in the unincorporated rural portion of King County who are:

  • Interested in considering development, a building project or a change of use on their property; or
  • Seeking assistance with habitat restoration or protection on their property

Pre-register:

Pre-register by May 19th with your parcel identification number (found on your property tax bill) and you'll receive area-specific aerial photos and natural resource information at the class. A parcel identification number is NOT required to pre-register!
