    The Chef is IN! Get free culinary advice at the "Ask the Chef" booth. Wondering what to do with celeriac, rutabagas or Romanesco cauliflower? Talk to a professional chef and learn cooking tips for preparing the fall produce, seafood, meats and other local, seasonal goodies at the farmers market.     Eat Local for Thanksgiving — Official Campaign Kick-Off
    11:30 a.m. at the Pike Place Market pig.

    Come and show your support as King County Executive Ron Sims local farmers and the Director of the Pike Place Senior Center who will encourage residents to "Take the Pledge" to Eat Local for Thanksgiving and promote local, seasonal fresh produce grown by area farmers. Lunch at the Senior Center on this day (and on Thanksgiving Day) will feature fruits and vegetables donated by local farms.

    Local Thanksgiving Chef Demonstration — Free!

    Chef Mark Schoenthaler of Roux Seattle shows us gourmet ideas for squash, potatoes and other traditional Thanksgiving fare.
