Hamakami:  Bank Stabilization and Habitat Restoration Project
Right Bank, Green River, River Mile 36

This project stabilized 500 feet of rapidly eroding riverbank and increased fish and wildlife habitat. The project also included the removal of a portion of the Hamakami Levee. Over 60 large Cedar logs with rootwads intact were placed along the river's edge. Above the logs 2-4 rows of willows were planted among coir and soil wraps to reconstruct a vegetated riverbank.
