Issaquah Earth Day Invasive Weed Talk
Overview of some of the worst weeds to watch for and advice on weed control and help identifyng mystery specimens. Open to the public. Part of a series of talks hosted by the City of Issaquah at the Earth Day Fair at Pickering Barn.

King County Noxious Weed Management Workshops

For vegetation management crews and others who need to identify and manage noxious weeds as part of their work. Topics include: state noxious weed list; new and unusual noxious weeds; focus on key weeds including garden loosestrife, purple loosestrife, phragmites, hawkweeds, knapweeds and thistles; noxious weed control on rights-of-way, disturbed areas and wastelands, weed identification with live specimens, WSU research results for control of a variety of noxious weeds, and a review of knotweed control on King County rivers.

Both classes are free and open to the public. WSDA pesticide license recertification credits are being requested for these classes (4 credits).

Controlling Knotweed and other Green Monsters
This workshop will teach why knotweed and other invasive plants are such tough weeds and what it takes to get rid of them. Controlling invasive weeds like knotweed means understanding how they grow and what works best to stop them. This is a hands-on workshop with weed specimens and practical weed control tips. Bring your mystery weeds for identification and get answers for controlling the tough weeds on your property.
