oxeye daisy plant This Class B noxious weed is widespread in western WA; control is recommended but not required in King County. Commonly considered an ornamental, this perennial herb is also a serious weed in 40 countries. This species escapes to roadsides and spreads to pastures, rangelands, croplands and open meadows. It is not readily grazed by cattle, but if eaten it gives milk an off-flavor.

This daisy is sometimes found for sale or included in ornamental seed mixes. Oxeye daisy is on the WSDA quarantine list (144 KB Acrobat file, 21 seconds with 56K modem) and it is illegal to buy, sell or offer for sale in the State of Washington.
