Water and Land is helping to protect King County's water and lands
so that its citizens can enjoy them safely today, and for generations
to come.

Protect and restore aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and protect
public health and safety. Our programs meet or exceed federal, state
and local regulatory requirements for public safety, water quality
and ecosystem integrity.
Leadership
Be a high performance regional environmental and resource management agency by providing high quality services, working in partnerships, and leading by example.
Price of Service
We guide the cost-effective investment of public funds to balance human health, safety and public benefits with ecosystem protection. We maximize efficiencies to minimize the financial burden on our citizens. We reduce the private and public costs of recurring floods.
