What's new at the Grant Exchange!
What’s New in 2008:
WaterWorks: The maximum award is now $60,000. Focus points will only be available for salmon habitat projects seeking WRIA support.
Wild Places in City Spaces: grants (up to $10,000) are now available for projects located in rural areas of King County but within the Urban Growth Areas (UGA) of incorporated cities such as Duval North Bend and Enumclaw. Focus points will be added to projects that are located where the prevailing private and public land use within a one-half mile radius is less than 25% green space (exclusive of non-agricultural highly managed landscapes such as golf courses, lawn-covered city parks and cemeteries).
On-site Spill “First Aid” Response: A $10,000 grant will be awarded competitively for the development and dissemination of a job site spill response protocol for minor spills. Among other components, the protocol will include what to do, what equipment to have on site and who to notify. The protocol must be compliant with health safety regulations as well as spill response regulations. This grant is a partnership between King County and DBM Contractors, Inc.
Rural Community Partnership Grants: This grant fund is now defunct.
EarthCorps Crew Days: Availability of EarthCorps crew days as a stand-alone request or part of a grant application is currently on hold. For more information
