Chlorophyll-A Concentration over time

The chart below displays chlorophyll data collected from King County's RUSS Buoys over the last several months. These buoys collect water quality data profiles several times a day. Please note, gaps in the graph are due to equipment problems and indicate no data was available.

The RUSS buoy uses a fluorometer to estimate chlorophyll-a concentrations. Chlorophyll-a is a pigment found in algae and is used as a measure of the algae in the water column. The goal established for the Lake Sammamish Management Plan set the mean summer chlorophyll-a at less than 2.8 mg/L.
