An Award-Winning Newsletter

In 2004, The Lake Steward was awarded first place in the newsletter category (external, printed) Savvy Competition, sponsored by the City-County Communications Marketing Association (3CMA).*

"A publication with a sharp focus on its target audience," commented peer judges from Missouri, Arizona and Oregon. "Content over flashy style. Well written and interesting, even when dealing with technical or scientific issues." With over 825 city and county members nationwide, 3CMA is a leading organization of local governments that are innovating better ways of communicating with citizens.

In the Summer 2004 issue of The Lake Steward, we asked for your feedback on everything from article topics to water quality to the state of your lake. Responses came in by mail and through our online survey and we thank everyone who took time to give us this feedback.
