Resources For your lake association, your community group, or yourself! The Grant Exchange is a clearinghouse of grant and technical assistance programs offered by the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks with the goals of protecting and enhancing the environment, increasing community stewardship, and providing expertise and consultation to projects. Speakers Want to introduce your class, lake association, or community group to the fascinating world beneath the water's surface? Need someone to talk about positive lake management and important steps for protecting our wonderful water resources? The Lake Stewardship Program can provide speakers for presentations on lakes and their watersheds. To find out more or to request a speaker, contact Sally Abella at (206) 296-8382. Have another water resource topic you are interested in? King County Water and Land Resources staff are available to speak to classes on surface water issues - water quality, salmon habitat and life cycle, wetlands, along with a number of other topics. In many areas, King County Basin Stewards are available to discuss specific issues affecting local watersheds. These presentations can include slide shows or other formats. Basins Stewards are also available to speak to your group.
