The Metropolitan King County Council today unanimously adopted the May Creek Basin Plan. The plan recommends several ways to resolve local flooding and environmental protection problems brought on by area development. See May Creek Basin Plan.

Metropolitan King County Councilmember David Irons applauded residents around the May Creek Basin for helping craft an action plan approved today by the Council. The unanimous vote puts in place a plan addressing flooding, erosion, sedimentation, water quality and wildlife habitat for land located in the Renton/Newcastle area through which May Creek runs.
