Tolt Middle School students help salmon by planting 700 trees at McCormick Park
One hundred students from Tolt Middle School, including (pictured from left to right) Aaron Kersten and Taylor Cramer, recently took a field trip to McCormick Park in Duvall to plant 700 trees along the Snoqualmie River to help salmon.

The field trip is part of the Stilly Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force’s classroom- and field-based education program, and was sponsored by the Snoqualmie Watershed Forum. Read more (Acrobat, 34KB)...

Snoqualmie Watershed Forum Receives KCD's "Rock" Award
The King Conservation District* recently awarded two local efforts their "rock" for excellence in assisting local natural resource conservation efforts. The Snoqualmie Watershed Forum received a Best Partnering Organization award and North Bend residents Mike and April LaLande received the Conservation Landowner award.

Snoqualmie Watershed Forum responds to steelhead listing
Puget Sound steelhead were listed by the National Marine Fisheries Service as Threatened under the Endangered Species Act on May 7. Much of the Forum's efforts to protect the health of the Snoqualmie Watershed will prove helpful in protecting steelhead, too.

Snoqualmie 2015 Report Available Online
This report covers a 10-year vision for safeguarding the Snoqualmie watershed's remaining natural resources and restore habitat for salmon listed under the Endangered Species Act. Read more...

The Snoqualmie Valley Trail Project
Learn about salmon in the Snoqualmie River and the unique features of the Snoqualmie Watershed through educational signage and salmon-inspired student artwork installments along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. The project, sponsored by the Snoqualmie Watershed Forum, involved local schools and professional artists who created artwork with salmon and watershed themes.
