Renton Lions Club - Spawning and Rearing Channel Feasibility Study
WRIA 8 Salmon Recovery Projects
Project Description
- This study will design a spawning/rearing channel that will address the lack of floodplain connection and the lack of riparian habitat along the Cedar River.
- The end result will provide approximately 3,500 square meters of habitat for chinook, coho, steelhead, sockeye, and cutthroat.
- By providing this habitat, more juvenile chinook might rear in the Cedar River rather than the south end of Lake Washington.
- The project will assess the feasibility and design a spawning/rearing channel on the Lions Club property.
