Project Description

Partners and Funding

Photo across the Green River from the Rosso Nursery site, which will be purchased for future salmon habitat restoration

Importance for Salmon

  • This area is used as a migration corridor by threatened chinook salmon
    Purchase of this property will maintain existing conditions on this property, including riparian cover and absence of a levee
  • Purchase preserves future opportunities to restore properly functioning salmonid habitat in the Lower Green River Subwatershed
  • Restoration at this site will increase habitat connectivity among current and future habitat restoration sites within this subwatershed
