SEPA Scoping Notice: as a first step in the environmental review process is, scoping was period where people had the opportunity to comment on the alternatives, impacts and mitigation measures that should be evaluated in the Brightwater EIS.

At three technical seminars held this summer, King County shared new analyses and scientific study in areas of concern frequently noted in the comments received on the Draft EIS. Though the seminars and accompanying comment periods are completed, the technical reports from these seminars are still available on CD for reference.

On December 1, 2003, the King County Executive selected the proposed Brighwater system which is composed of a wastewater treatment plant at the Route 9 site, a conveyance pipeline along Northeast 195th Street and the King/Snohomish County line, and an outfall off Point Wells (PDF 395 KB).
