Program PoliciesThe following Infiltration/Inflow policies are from King County's Proposed Substitute Ordinance 13680 adopted December 13, 1999.
I/I Policy - 2.1 Under the current implementation plan, the initial list of pilot project basins will be submitted for Council review by May 2001. From this an initial list of pilot projects will be submitted to Council by July 1, 2001 and an additional list of pilot projects submitted prior to July 1, 2002. I/I Policy - 2.2 The current implementation plan provides that model local conveyance system design standards will be developed by December 31, 2002. I/I Policy - 2.3 The current implementation plan provides that the report defining I/I levels in each of the local systems will be submitted to King County Council by March 1, 2005. The report will analyze the options on cost effectiveness and environmental cost and benefits. (Refer to the Alternatives/Options Report.) I/I Policy - 2.4 The current implementation plan provides that the Executive's report recommending target levels for I/I reduction in local collection systems and proposed long-term measures to meet the targets will be submitted to King County Council by December 31, 2005. Public Involvement Policy - 7 Beginning January 1, 2001, King County shall implement a public awareness and education program regarding the environmental impacts and costs to wastewater rate payers of I/I in the local and regional conveyance systems. » Home |
