November 2007 -- King County’s contractor is now building the above ground pump station structure. Crews will continue electrical work and will install the pump station’s heavy machinery (pumps, motors, generators and odor control equipment) through the winter.

February 2007 -- King County crews began removing steel sheets that form the microtunnel machine access shaft in the Juanita Beach Park construction area.

July 2006 -- Over 80 secant piles have been drilled to create the shoring and part of the foundation wall for the new pump station. The wall is supporting the surrounding soil during excavation and construction of the new pump station. >> Back to top.
