Barton Street Pump Station Emergency Repairs -- completed winter 2007

Crews were able to get the Barton Street Pump Station north of the Fauntleroy ferry dock in West Seattle back online at around midnight Friday, Dec. 15, 2006 after severe flooding knocked out pumping equipment and resulted in an emergency bypass from Barton to an outfall in Puget Sound.

King County repair crews restored and reinstalled the pumping equipment late Friday night. Workers also attached a temporary pump to the force main in the beach to the west of the pump station to provide sufficient capacity as repair work continued. King County expects to the pump station to be fully repaired this week.
