Murray Avenue Pump Station UpgradeKing County protects public health and the environment by conveying and treating the region’s wastewater. Many of King County’s wastewater facilities are more than 40 years old and do not meet current design standards. King County is upgrading the Murray Avenue Pump Station to increase the reliability of the station, reduce the possibility of overflows, and conserve energy by operating more efficiently. This project will protect the beach for neighbors and West Seattle neighbors. The pump station is located at 7015 Beach Drive Southwest. It is an underground facility located in Lowman Beach Park. The pump station pumps wastewater to the county’s regional treatment plant at West Point in Seattle. Proposed work
